A Unique CommunitySandpoint is made up of many newcomers from all walks of life. In the beginning it was loggers and miners, then came the artists, and more recently the city folks. Searching for a lifestyle that values safe neighborhoods and being outside and perhaps a good investment. Sandpoint is also known as an artists’ community every summer. For a north Idaho town, there are a surprising number of high-caliber events here, from an international film series to a twice-weekly farmers market all summer, and more recently some high-profile international sporting events. It all makes for a great mix of young sports enthusiasts to retried outdoorsmen, liberals to conservatives, living together.
